Overview of PFSD76-N flavor and fragrance spray drying plant:

 

This plant is a new generation of spray drying unit designed and developed by the company with many years of experience in spray drying production. It is widely used in the drying and granulation of liquid materials such as emulsions, suspensions, and pastes in the food industry. As the spray drying and fluidized bed drying process are combined in one drying tower, the dryer can be operated within a relatively large range of particle size, moisture content and drying air temperature. So as to better control the degree and effect of particle agglomeration or granulation.

 

Basic requirements for process plant:

 

The plant must be possible as a single-stage and multi-stage spray dryer. The air temperature range at the inlet of the atomization chamber is from 150 to 230°C The height of the static vertical bed dryer (internal fluid bed) is adjustable, and the temperature is 100°C. The vibrating horizontal bed dryer (external fluid bed) must contain 2 zones, one for drying (100°) and the other for cooling the final product temperature to 30°C. There must be strong fluidization in order to eliminate the caking agent and to ensure the movement of particles as large as 900 μm (D 50 = 400 μm). What is important is that it is possible to use different residence times (to independently adjust the moisture content and cooling temperature) by changing the height of the bed in each zone. Considering the two beds, the total residence time can be from 10 to 60 minutes. The drying room must have several injection points for anti-caking agents and fine powders (repetitive use from the drying room, bed and sieve). The fluidized bed screen plate is removable. For each fluidized bed (internal and external), 2 sets of screens will be provided. The horizontal fluidized bed should be capable of CIP cleaning and cleaning. The conversion between single-level and multi-level variants should be easy to operate. The air distributor of the atomizer must be capable of CIP cleaning and cleaning. This part can be removed for inspection and cleaning issues.
